Have you checked the fan and humidity settings? Some units have a humidity setting called: continuous mode or can be set to run the fan continuously. Or perhaps it never reaches the RH% setting you programmed. Try setting a lower RH.

If your unit is running too much you need to check if there any open windows or doors where the unit is running, it may cause the unit to overrun. You also need to make sure the isn't anything blocking airflow on the grill, sometimes dust and debris can build on the unit's grill. Remember the dehumidifier must be placed in a space that does not restrict air flowing into the rear coiler out of the front grill. Also, you need to make sure the unit you have is compatible with your room size. If your unit was recently installed, the higher the moisture in the room, the longer the dehumidifier will operate. Lastly, please note that by default the unit is set to continuous mode. Use the humidity button to set an RH% higher level. I hope this helps!
