• Yes, you will be able to 'hear' your TV but I doubt that you'll be happy with it. The level of sound (but not the type) coming from the running dehumidifier is roughly what an older refrigerator makes. If you have a large living room, and you can put the dehumidifier at one end and the TV at the other end, then it might work out OK. (Be aware that for the dehumidifier to work well there needs to be a gentle-flow of air through the area where the dehumdifier is located so that the air from the entire house gets circulated through.)
