• Fan shuts off automatically. I leave it plugged in 24/7, draining with a garden hose in to my dump pump crock.

• My experience- it runs continuously until the tank fills up then shuts off. Starts running again when tank emptied and replaced. Keeps humidity about 38%. Easy, works well, nice unit, Frigidaire.

• I put my unit on a timer and set it at the humidity level I need for the house, and when the timer has reached its level the fan does shut off, but when it leave the unit on continuous I have noticed the fan does run continuously.
