Hello, Great inquiry! The dehumidifier automatically shuts off when selected amount of moisture has been removed from the air and will automatically turn the compressor back on if the humidity level goes above the desired setting. Thank you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I set humidity at 45. When it achieves that, mine keeps running. Do I have a defective unit or am I setting it wrong. I read the instructions. I had a Kenmore, which doesn't even make the top ten and it always shut off at 45 and would turn back on when the humidity was above 45. This unit takes a tremendous amount of water out of my basement. But I just can't seem to set it so it will turn off at the desired 45 percent humidity.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The fan runs continuously-- moving and sampling the air for humidity.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it does turn off, although my unit is in a basement and needs to run most of the time. Humidistat is very sensitive. My unit is next to laundry tub and if I use the spigot for even a short time, the LED readout shows the higher humidity.
