No clue what they meant. I just enter in the time and press start. For express cook, you push 1, 2 or 3 depending on the number of minutes you want to express cook. There is a slight delay before it starts the express cook to see if you want to enter following numbers (i.e. 1:45). I like this because I've used some express cooks that automatically start when I actually want to put in another number. As for adding time, it's super easy. You just hit the start button again and it adds 30 seconds. Or if you want to just do 30 seconds, just press start without pressing any other numbers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. I set the time and hit start. Adding 30+ sec. , you set your time push start then push start again and 30 additional sec will be added to the time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You don't have to push anything but how long you want to cook for.

In researching model, FGMV175QF, we were able to identify there are many different features to select from. To heat any food items manually, you would input your preferred time (ex: 530) and hit start. To add an extra 30 seconds or 1 minute, you will need to select start and the display will show 30 seconds. If you selected start again, the display will show 1 minute. Please see use and care guide. Thank you for allowing us to assist you with your inquiry. Respectfully
