• YES IT DOES. CORD EXITS THE TOP OF THE MICROWAVE. YOU WILL HAVE TO ADD A WALL PLUG.

• I had exactly the situation With hard wired hood. This came with nice cord with a plug so I simply installed a duplex outlet box and kept the plug on unit and plugged in....super easy

• Not sure I understand your question, but all microwaves require plugin into a wall socket.
