Hi Lilxbyul, thank you for reaching out. For Frigidaire over-the-range microwaves, the rear mounting plate (mounting bar) is model-specific. Even if two models appear similar in size, the mounting hole locations, exhaust cutouts, and weight distribution can differ. For that reason, when replacing your FGNV174KFB with the GMOS1968AF, the existing wall mounting bar should be removed and replaced with the new mounting plate included with the GMOS1968AF. Reusing the old plate is not recommended, as it may not align properly and could affect secure installation and venting. - Reed
