Hello, Bob. We appreciate your inquiry. All of our over-the-range (OTR) microwaves are factory preset to vent internally; they will recirculate the air back into the room. However, it can also be converted to vent externally or outside, if you prefer. If this is your preference, please let the installer know before they begin the initial installation, and they will share the option that best suits your installation situation.
