It can be configured for three types of ventilation: Outside Top (Vertical): Ducting up through the roof or top cabinet. Outside Back (Horizontal): Ducting directly through an exterior wall. Recirculating (Non-ducted): Air filters through a charcoal filter and returns to the kitchen. -Chris
