I imagine that would depend on your local electrical codes. Most appliances like this are typically hardwired, but I have had an electric cooktop and even an electric water heater installed with a plug, so I suspect it can be done.

Hello, Stac! The appliance must be connected to a grounded, metallic, permanent wiring system, or a grounding connector should be connected to the grounding
