can this be installed through the wall? null

Mine is installed in the AC housing box that already exists in the exterior wall of my apartment. I expanded the accordian sides of the AC to meet with the left and right walls of the housing box and then used the foam filler that came with the AC to fill in the gap between the AC top and top wall of the AC housing. I then used the white insulation foam boards that came with the AC as trim on the left and right sides to make a neat finish.

Depends on how thick the wall is..

Window mount only air conditioners are generally not ok for through the wall installations. The side vents will be blocked, especially in a thick wall brick building. A "rear vented" air conditioner is the type that you want to purchase. Blocked side vents cause inefficient operation, and could be a safety or reliability issue depending on the model.
