• You don't need a Gamecube controller adapter for the original Wii as it has 4 slots already built into the Wii system for Gamecube controllers.

• why would you use this on the wii??? the wii has gamecube ports on the top of the console ,

• It will NOT work on the original Wii, but it will work for the Wii U, but it ONLY works for Smash Bros for Wii U and will not function on any other Wii U titles. And of course, it also works for the Switch, as long as it's on firmware 5.0 and up.
