A:AnswerThe Forerunner 10 has a 5 ATM water rating, which means it withstands pressures equivalent to a depth of 50 meters. This is suitable for surface swimming, snorkeling, and similar activities.
A:AnswerIf you're biking outside and the watch's GPS function is on, it will accurately track your pace and distance. However, please note that there is no "cycling" mode on this watch. Additionally, the watch can only track distance and pace when using GPS, so this would not work for you if you use an indoor track or ride on a stationary bike. -JPK
A:AnswerYou can use the Forerunner 10 as a watch, however the tracking will go on in the background. It will not interfere with displaying the time for you though. Thank you, \tw/
A:AnswerIt does not track heart rate. I bought it because I wanted to complete my first half in a certain time and needed something very simple and affordable to keep pace. It works really well for that. It has different "buzz" sounds for when you are ahead of pace, on pace, and behind pace. You can display pace only, pace and distance, pace and time. It is a very basic Garmin and if you want it just for pacing, it is a good price for that purpose. It does take a little bit of time to start up and by that I mean to "find your location" so make sure you start it at least 5 minutes before your race start (and watch for when it goes into sleep mode). It can be set up to stop/pause when you stop running for a break. I got it on "super sale". Hope this helps. And, yes, despite horrendous rain, I met my goal finish time.

A:AnswerIt's perfect for a 13 year old! It's like a cute pink watch that will help her training significantly. It's so awesome, her Dad might even consider using it when he's not running with her.
A:AnswerIt can fit the smallest of wrists. There are holes up the entire band, not just the end. It's a great device for a child, both in terms of price and functionality.
A:AnswerThe Forerunner 10 is designed to track running activities outdoors while using GPS. If using this device for other activities you would be able to use the timer feature, but is designed with dedicated running activities in mind.
A:AnswerThe Forerunner 10 is designed to track running activities, and after uploading the workout data to Garmin Connect you are able to see the route that was taken during the activity. This device is not designed to help navigate to a specific location.
