• Hi, The Forerunner 10 cannot be tracked in real-time for use in this manner, the tracking features of this device are only for tracking distance, speed/pace and calories during activities. -NM

• Maybe, you normally have to enable the GPS geolocation. And only tracks in GPS mode for 8 hours.
