“Can this watch tell me in real time where I am in relation to my starting point? I don’t care about watching my journey AFTER my run. I want a GPS watch that can help me from getting lost while running in forests.”

No, this device does not offer that feature. However, please keep in mind using GPS in heavily wooded areas, next to tall building etc., can make a difference with GPS reception. Debbie with Garmin
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No it does not. The only way I know of being able to do this is through the app Strava which this watch connects to. You can plan a route through the app and use the watch.
