The Forerunner 25 is designed with runners in mind and will use GPS to track distance and pace. The step tracking feature will use the natural arm motion to while walking and running to count steps. Steps may be tracking during aerobics, kayaking, or horse grooming, but the device was not designed with those specific activities in mind.
