“Does this have an always on display similar to the pebble? I've been looking for a good replacement and this seemed like a great alternative.”

This does have an “always on” display. However, the backlight does not stay on all the time. To be able to see it in the dark or low light conditions you will have to press the button to turn on the backlight. I am not familiar with the pebble for comparison.

Fitbit bought the company and stopped supporting the devices about a year later. Pebble had no backlight, but I loved the always on display. Easy to read on a sunny day. Good battery life too. Sounds like it’s the same type of screen on the Garmin. I would have bought this watch as a replacement for the pebble had I known about it, especially at this price!
