Yes. The light is bright at night but can be difficult to see in sunlight.

Yes. It is oled. The brightness is adjustable and easy to read at night. Not as well in direct sunlight.

The VivoSmart features a low-light LED screen technology, so you are always viewing white alpha/numeric characters against a black background.

You can change the brightness. There are no problems viewing the display at night or with direct sun light.

The display is rather bright (which you can adjust if it's too much), so it does not need an additional backlight. The new vivosmart HR and the vivoactive cannot be seen in the dark, so they have backlights.

You can use it at night. You can even adjust how bright the display is from the menu on the tracker.

Yes, the Vivosmart can be viewed in the dark. The band remains dark at all times and tou simply double-tap the band to light the display, which is actually very bright.
