That's a great question! Unfortunately, the vívosmart is an activity tracker that also has smart notifications. It displays steps, calories, distance you've run or walked, and the time of day. It also displays texts, emails, and alerts you of calls from a compatible smartphone. It does not have the ability to display maps, nor is it GPS enabled. For a wrist-worn watch with this feature that has a viewable map, as well as running, hiking, and fitness information, you'd want to check out the new "epix" watch. Check with your retailer on availability. Thanks for asking! *CG
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it doest not have gps functionality, so no it will not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The app itself does not support that feature. In fact, I have had more issues in the last few months with the app, after they updated the user interface, just to do what the app states it can do.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.as long as it is blue tooth compatible, you can track the routes, etc. the screens are really easy to update
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Vivosmart won't map routes. The Forerunner 225 has this ability and works well with Garmin Express.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When I record an activity it will do distance and time. From there I can sync it with Map My Run/Ride or Strava, but you would have to either manually enter in your route or have it recording while you are doing your activity. If you are wanting a band that you can have it record and map your activities to look at later my guess would be you would have to look at the more expensive GPS running watches that Garmin offers.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. The Vivosmart does not have a GPS function. I use mine in conjunction with the Nike+ Running App when I want to track a route.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does pair pretty well with the app map my run which tracks all the stats your looking for.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There's no GPS in this so no, it's not going to allow you to route automatically. I would recommend a GPS watch instead if you are wanting to do that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it doesn't have GPS built into it. Garmin makes a full size watch that will allow you to track your route on a map and does the extra stuff that the Vivosmart does. Of course its much bulkier and more noticable than the Vivosmart.
