Very accurate. Tested several times...rightin.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is pretty accurate; much more accurate than Fitbit. One of the reasons I got off the Fitbit train is because it wasn't very accurate at tracking steps. There were days where I would reach my step goal sitting at an award ceremony; the Fitbit would add steps every time I clapped.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.seems to be accurate but I haven't actually watched it as I walk.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've noticed that when I'm pushing a stroller it tracks as if I'm riding a bike. This makes me think it is not counting steps. It does recognize the activity.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It seems to be a bit off for things like walking and non-cardio activities like yoga. It has a setting for cardio, run and other. It seems to be more accurate for those activities if you select the option for it. They just added an option for walk so it has gotten better. I think you can also tweak your stats by putting in your stride, etc.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had the Vivosmart HR for about one week. It has that same problem. If I don't move my arm wearing the device - or if I move the arm only a little because it's carrying something - it doesn't count the steps. If I get up in the night to take 10 steps to the bathroom and 10 steps back, it doesn't measure this either. Not sure if that's an arm-movement issue or a short-step issue? Probably the arm movement. Other than this, it seems to be measuring accurately when I remember to move my arm. I will be interested to see how it does when I get back to running, since I hold my arms lightly up at an angle and don't swing them in the same way as when walking.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Its very close to accurate. Works well I would say.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It won't count steps if you are carrying a box or pushing a cart.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I did not find it very accurate at all. It sporadically did not count steps when I was doing normal activity in the house (walking around, going up and down stairs, doing laundry, etc), and it added thousands of steps when I was a passenger in a car during a smooth freeway ride.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The vívosmart HR like our other activity trackers is designed to keep track of repetitive walking movement as steps. You can view more information about Activity Tracker accuracy here: http://support.garmin.com/support/searchSupport/simpleCase.htm?caseId={2a175810-d226-11e3-e635-000000000000}&kbName=garmin. While the vivosmart HR is not listed, it does still apply and we are working to get the article changed. Thank you! ~QKO
