I purchased one today and used at my swim training right away, but it did not record. I checked all my setups and can't figure out how to make it track my swimming? null

I believe you have to start an activity before it will track. This is done on the watch. The activities include run, walk, cardio, and other.

Press the manual button and it gives you a person, moon, and clock. Tap on the person and it will take you to a screen with run/cardio/walk/other. Tap other? I don't think it records swim laps very well. Other watches do it better like the TomTom Spark.

The vivosmart HR has a timer feature that allows it to track dedicated activity. While the device is safe to use in the pool it is not designed to track swimming metrics such as stroke count, swim distance, or lap counts. -JFH
