• The device has a 3-axis compass with automatic calibration. No application is included that shows the compass but there are many free widgets that you can download. I recommend Compass and GPS Heading widget by FlipStone that gives you compass, plus speed, plus altitude, plus coordinates, and local time.

• I don’t think there is one on the watch out of the box but you can install widgets to the watch through the Garmin app and there are compass widgets available for free.

• no it doesn't have a compass, it has GPS that tracks your runs. If you want a watch with a compass, you will need one of the higher end Garmin watches.
