The vivoactive 3 is water resistant up to 50 meters, and you can swim with it in a pool and it will track laps and swim data. It does work for cycling activities and the GPS does provide coordinate details. Antonio with Garmin/Fitness Department

It is water resistant. Not sure if it's ok for swimming though. Does a great job tracking my stats with biking. Connects with my Strava and my Garmin cadence and speed sensors for a complete profile of my ride. Yes on GPS and coordinates. Very happy with this watch.
