• Yes, it has 2 replaceable CR1632 batteries that should last about a year. Not having to charge it every few days like other trackers is well worth buying the Vivofit 2. No taking it off to charge it then forgetting to put it back on.

• Yes it does, just have to unscrew apart to replace. Battery life claims to be a year.
