No -- it can't see your feet. :-) This is unfortunate, but it appears to respond only to the movement of your wrist during activity. Not good for exercise on a treadmill or stationary bike either unless you are using hands for an activity also --- you could possibly work around this if you can walk on the treadmill or stationary bike without holding on and swinging your arms.
