• No it's not fully waterproof only water resistant.The Garman 920 triathlete watch will.

• The vívofit 2 is not designed to record strokes while swimming. It may count the strokes as steps, as it records steps and distance based on movement. ^DK

• I didn't see that on the recognizable activities list. It's also NOT waterproof according to the manufacturer, although they say it can withstand any amount of sweat.

• Personally speaking, I believe it will count your strokes as a footsteps. As I noted in my review, I believe certain motions get recorded as steps, and that may be one of them.
