• I haven't experienced this. In fact, I purposely moved my arm to try to add steps, but the numbers didn't change.

• The polor loop won't count your steps unless your arm is moving when walking. So don't push or care anything. I go on walks with my 2 year and she holds my hand so my steps won't get counted.
