You do not need to log into a computer to track your steps. It will track them every day and reset when you sleep.

The device will be a basic mode that displays basic step information. To get the most out of the device we would recommend that the device be paired with a phone or computer. The vivofit jr. also might be an option for an activity tracker. This is a device specifically designed for children.
