A:AnswerRr,
This is the actual tracker, the bands are interchangeable so this is showing it where you can purchase it either with the purple or the black band initially. Then you can also purchase additional band to change out with as well.

A:AnswerThe vívofit can detect the natural motion from your stride. The vívofit should detect steps on this machine. It’s possible you will have to adjust your stride in the app.

A:AnswerLaura,
This is a gray area,
To keep track of your steps to see if you are doing better worse, or in between. Then you would need to download the app/program either onto your smartphone or computer, so that you can sync the vivofit and upload the information, even do competitions with friends, etc. If you don't want to do that and just want to track how many steps you do and write the information down yourself, then no you don't have to download to a device/phone. But that is also the way that the vivofit gets it's own software updates should it be needed as well. So that would ultimately be up to you.
A:AnswerYes, the vívofit can track calories burned from steps walked or from heart rate if you start an activity with a Garmin Heart Rate monitor on.

A:AnswerYes, the vivofit is sold with a vivokeeper that is designed to keep the band from slipping off. The small band size is 120-175 mm (4.72-6.89 inches), so you would need to measure the wrist to check for fit. \tw/
