A:AnswerHello and thank you for reaching out about this reliable microwave. The unit requires a 120V, 9.3 amp connection and we recommend a dedicated circuit but it is not required if the proper amperage is available. We hope this hopes. Keep in touch! - John@GEA
A:AnswerThe control panel does not have any illumination or backlighting. Also, there are no tactile indicators on the control panel to guide a sight-impaired person or, otherwise, a person with vision in a darkened room. You may need light from another source, such as the kitchen light, or perhaps a small flashlight to see and read the controls, if using this microwave in a darkened room. At the low price and other features and quality, I am happy with it, anyway.
A:AnswerHi there - Great question! We're finding that there isn't a hanging kit available for this microwave model. Thanks for considering GE Appliances! -Mikayla

A:AnswerHi LB - GE® Countertop Microwave Oven JES1072SHSS cannot be mounted under a cabinet. We suggest to view GE Profile™ 1.1 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave Oven PEM31SFSS and GE® 0.7 Cu. Ft. Capacity Countertop Microwave Oven JEM3072SHSS. These models are compatible with optional Undercabinet Hanging Kit JXA019K (sold separately). Thanks for choosing GE! Sue
A:AnswerHi Karabunga - We certainly appreciate your loyalty. A 10.5" dinner plate will not rotate properly. It is important in a microwave to always keep at least a 1" clearance on all sides and at the top of the dish or utensil. GE Profile™ Series 1.1 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave Oven PEM31FMDS has a 10.625" turntable. Keep in touch- Sue
A:AnswerYour measurements are accurate. Mine is in a cupboard with an opening of 18 1/4" and it works well. My cupboard gets wider after the opening framework. But I think you would have about 3/8" on each side.

A:AnswerHello Jim - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and we are happy to help you. If your microwave is not built-in to the cabinet, then this JEM3072 is a great replacement model. However, if your microwave is built-in to the cabinet, then the JEM25GV002 used a trim kit that required a cabinet cutout of 15" high x 24-13/16" wide. The current replacement model would be the PEM31 as the approved trim kit requires a similar cutout dimension. We hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!

A:AnswerHi irishh7- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for your consideration! Yes, the Cooking Complete Reminder is a beep that occurs once every minute after the normal cooking cycle has ended. It is designed to remind you when the cooking time has completed. Begins 1 minute after the 'Cooking Complete Signal'. This is different from the 'Cooking Complete Signal' which is 4 beeps heard only once and directly at the end of the cooking cycle. To terminate 'cooking complete reminder', touch Clear/Off or open the door. Operates on the cycles that terminate automatically, such as Time Cook, Defrost, etc. All cooking functions which do not terminate automatically, such as Temperature cook/hold will not have a "Cooking Complete Reminder". Audible aid when recipes call for standing time after cooking- No need to set the kitchen timer. Just keep track of the beeps from the 'Cooking Complete Reminder'. (i.e.: after 5 beeps / 5 minutes have expired). Thanks for checking with us!
