A: The JEM307SHSS is available with an optional mounting kit if you would like to install it under a cabinet to free up counter space (this is what I did). The turntable measures 9.6 inches in diameter. It is steady— I have had no issues with it. We use this oven primarily to reheat our coffee and tea and to warm up leftovers. If you pop popcorn, I recommend the single-serving microwave packages rather than the bigger bags. You should have no trouble heating up water, but remember this is a 700 watt oven, so it will take a little longer to heat things compared to the higher-wattage models. It comes with a one-year warranty on parts and labor, so if there is something wrong with your unit GE will make it right—either fix or replace it.

Q: What is the width with the door open 90 degrees?
A: Hi Angela! Thanks for your question. When the door is fully opened, it adds approximately 3 inches to the unit width. This would make the width with the door open approximately 20 1/4". We hope this helps! Emily

A: Hi there, and thanks for reaching out with this great question! Making sure your microwave has enough air clearance is important, so we certainly understand your concern. The hanging kit (JXA019K is compatible with this model, and it may also be listed under a part number of WX4-A019) is designed to allow for air clearance; as long as you follow the installation instructions included with the kit, there should be no issue. We strongly recommend installing in a 12” deep cabinet, and you shouldn’t install directly against a side wall or cabinet. 2” of air clearance should remain on each side of the microwave after installation, as well as at least 2” on the bottom. No extra air clearance is required in the rear beyond what is needed for the included spacer/rear brackets. We hope this clarifies the matter, and are always available if you have any other questions or concerns. All the best! -Sarah@GEA
