The model you asked this question on, PEM31SFSS, does have an optional hanging kit if you’d like to install it under the cabinet. It has dimensions of 12 1/8” H x 24” W x 12 7/8” D (not exactly the same as your current model, but similar) and a 1.1 capacity. If this model seems like a good option for you, the mounting kit is under Part # WX4-A019. We have installation instructions available on our GE website when you look up the model number and go to the product page, if you’d like to review those to be sure this model will work for you. A:Answeryou do not need a hanging mechanism, you drill holes with a temp plate provided with the packaging to hang the unit. The unit itself on the top is threaded to screw it flush with the base of the cabinet. As you can see by the picture, I hung the unit and then framed it out on the bottom with piece of cabinet trim

A:AnswerIt is transiently 2-3 mm wider on the left towards the very front of the unit in the process of opening the door. I solved this by mounting the entire unit a small amount forward (3/4", but 1/4" would be plenty) from flush with the surrounding cabinet frame; it works well. You could also consider shaving any adjacent structure to the left of the front of the unit, but moving the microwave forward was easier and is very cosmetically acceptable in our installation
