“I currently have GE model JVM6175EFES which seems to be very similar to this model JVM6175EKES. Mine was manufactured and purchased in 2015 and I see it is no longer manufactured. Mine is having issues. What would be the difference between these two?”

Probably the finish. There were 3 finishes of the same model. The EKES is a slate finish.
