Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions needed to make installation a simple process. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy. We suggest GE® 1.7 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM6175SKSS / JVM6175YKFS (YKFS has Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel) and GE® 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM7195SKSS. - Answer Hi John60- We certainly appreciate your loyalty! JVM6175SKSS is a great choice with sensor cooking controls. All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions needed to make installation a simple process. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy. The mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. Also, the microwave ovens are designed for adaptation for the following three types of ventilation: 1. Outside Exhaust (Vertical – Delivered from factory in vertical position). 2. Outside Exhaust (Horizontal). 3. Recirculating (Non-vented ductless). All over-the-range microwaves can be vented to the outside using an equivalent total of 140 feet of rigid 3 1/4" x 10" rectangular or rigid 6" round ducting. Enjoy! Sue

- Answer I replaced my over the range GE microwave with sensor cooking and top exterior exhaust with JVM6175DKWW 1.7 CF OTR SENSOR MICRO OVEN. It has proven to be a great choice. The sensor cooking function works even better than the old model. But alas, the wall mounting bracket was designed differently enough to require replacing it with the new one. Also the top mounting holes are in different locations. I still installed it myself but I don't know why they had to change it. Same brand, makes no sense.

QuestionOur spacemaker xl1800 vents out the TOP of the FRONT above the door, so is mounted completely under the overhead cabinet without sticking out at all. Does this model vent out the FRONT of the TOP, giving no choice but to mount it sticking out some?

- Answer Hi DefianceChic - A 12" deep (min.)-13" (max) cabinet is required. Maximum depth with JX15 Bump Out Kit is 16" (Bump Out Kit sold separately). There is a vent located on the top edge of the unit. While all 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening, when replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. - Answer Don, you need the indoor filter kit, and your going to have remove and replace the rear support bracket. And make sure you have second person to remove and put the new one in place. Good Luck Don!!

- Answer I’m not sure but the microwave I had was a GE and I didn’t have to change the bracket so it was easy to install. I just took the bolts out of the cabinet and tipped the old microwave out and put the new one in. FYI my old GE was 20 years old.
