Mine is out too, near 2 year mark. Planned obsolescence. Buy anything not American made.

My microwave of the same model has never come on in the 3 months I have owned it despite having technicians come out twice. I have low hopes for this microwave and when it does finally get working I will probably be lucky if I get two years out of it. I severely regret buying it. I will never buy another appliance through Best Buy.

We are sorry to hear your microwave is not heating and we are glad to assist. If the microwave runs, but does not heat, make sure the "Timer" function was not inadvertently used. Check to insure door closed firmly. Do not slam. This confirms the engagement of the door's safety mechanisms. Also, try disconnecting power on your microwave at the power source for about 30 seconds to reset the electronics. On some occasions the electronics may develop a glitch. Removing the power supply to the unit may allow the electronics to reset. If the above suggestions do not resolve the situation, we recommend scheduling a service appointment with an authorized GE Appliance technician who can accurately diagnose and correct the issue. For safety reasons, we cannot offer do-it-yourself repair advice on microwave ovens due to high voltage (capacitor holds a high voltage charge even after it has been unplugged).
