“Is the dark part around the door/control pad black or dark gray on the stainless steel model?”

• Sort of a dark gray color. The only true black is the area for the clock/status display. From a distance it does look black.

• So I looked closely since from a distance and in lower light it looks black. Up close with a flashlight it looks dark gray.
