Q: QuestionI have a GE microwave model No.JVM1860Sf001. What current model would replace this model to fit in the same space?

• A:Answer Hello, all 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. As a note, when replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. • A:Answer The microwaves appear to be different cu ft. I would check the dimensions of each unit. I replaced an old GE microwave that had the same dims and cubic feet and was able to reuse the wall bracket. It was an easy installation.

• A:Answer Hi - When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. • A:Answer Hi Chelle - Thanks for reaching out to us! The microwave cooking wattage is 1000. If you have multiple appliances on the same circuit, this could affect the cooking wattage. The microwave requires a 120 volt individual, properly grounded branch circuit with a 3 prong grounding type receptacle, protected by a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse. Over-the-range models should be on a dedicated circuit. Check out the following link for tips- FOOD TAKING TOO LONG TO COOK IN MICROWAVE: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18799 - Also, you may want to follow the below steps to test the performance of your microwave: Place a glass bowl (preferably a 2qt. glass measuring bowl) with 1qt. of water in the center of the microwave cavity. The water must be 59-75 degrees Fahrenheit (15-24 degrees Celsius). Heat the water for exactly 2 minutes 30 seconds on High (this is the default setting). A temperature rise in the range of 28-40 degrees Fahrenheit (15-22 degrees Celsius) indicates that the oven is cooking properly. If you feel that your food is still not cooking properly, then we would recommend having your microwave checked by a service technician.
