Please try again later.Hello, When I needed to replace my microwave oven above range type for replacement, I looked up online my exact model specifications of size (Length, Width, Depth), very important. I noted down on a paper, started looking up same company microwaves first and other companies too. Came across with many models, they have close measurements but one of the measurements was more than required, so until I found right size or little bit smaller size (by few cms) I shortlisted 3 models. Finally selected one that’s almost same measurements as what I needed to replace. It’s same company, GE (for me). Since it’s above range oven, I know I needed installation, but since I am Best Buy plus member, installation is free and included in purchase price, Yayyy!!! Not easy but one must do some basic homework to pick right replacement of microwave oven that over the range. Good luck J.

The microwave I bought was 30”, so I had to purchase the two extenders, each one 3” wide, to fill the gaps on each side of it. I was in the same situation you were, they don’t make the 36” one anymore. I hope this helps.
