“Is the mounting bracket on the very bottom of the microwave? My old microwave is only 15 5/8" tall, and if I have to put a mounting bracket any lower than that it will have to be on top of backsplash.”

Hi - Thanks for considering GE Model JVM7195SKSS! Yes, the mounting bracket gets installed at the back bottom edge of the microwave. My son-in-law installed the microwave oven, and I did not watch him, so I don’t really know how long the bracket was. It did go on the back wall & he had to grind down the top edge of the backsplash a little. He said it wasn’t a big deal. And, none of the other tile (small tiles) cracked.
