Q: QuestionHello, I am looking for replacing my microwave Model No. JVM1630WB 004. It seems it is no longer being made. What do I order to replace that will fit in the same space? A 400 CFM model would be even better if it fits the space. Thank you in advance.

Q: QuestionIn Feb of 2015 I purchased a JVM7195DF1BB and it has stopped working, from a power surge I believe. Will the newest model, JVM7195DKBB, fit the same bracket already there? I'd rather not change that if not necessary. Thank you!

• A:Answer That’s definitely a Best Buy question, and even they may not know. However, as the current bracket is at least (8) years old, I would buy a new bracket. When the new microwave is installed, you’ll find out immediately if the old bracket works or not. You’ll have a new bracket ready if necessary, and can return it without a problem if you don’t use it.

Q: QuestionCurrent 3yo GE unit makes a loud humming noise and will not heat. In my research I have determined its possibly the magnetron or a fuse by the door latch. Would you advise to repair or replace whole unit? Don't want to have to deal with this ongoing.

• A:Answer Ours did the same thing. We opted to replace the microwave, as repairing the magnetron wouldn't have been worth the cost. We got a great deal on a replacement at Best Buy. Ours was less than 7 years old.

• A:Answer Measure the width to make sure that it fits between your cabinets and you should be fine. I’ve replaced two ge microwaves in the last month (mine and my parents) with this one and they were the same. Used the old hanger too. You will more than likely have to drill holes in the upper cabinet because the bolt holes were not in the same spot on the new one.
