“I just installed this microwave with the fan box open on the topside to vent out side. I noticed that when I turn the fan on there is air blowing back inside from a vent at the top, front side of the microwave. Is this normal?”

Hi Matt- Thanks for choosing GE! It is normal to have some air blowing out of the top grill. A fan where the internal components are located will run while the microwave is in operation to constantly circulate the air to cool the working parts. Thanks for reaching out to us. Enjoy! SUEatGEA
