Sounds like you have an installation issue. My understanding is that service is handled by the Geek Squad. Sorry I cannot be of further assistance.

If your microwave was converted to recirculating and not vented to the outside, the air will be recirculated through a disposable charcoal filter (included) that helps remove smoke and odors. The air will blow from the vents at the top above the door.
