A:AnswerHi there! Thanks for reaching out to us. The dimensions of this unit are 16 5/16 H x 29 7/8 W x 15 9/16 D. Since the width is slightly larger than 29.75" and there is not space on either side of the unit, it would not fit into that slot. We're sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to us at: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/contact.htm
Stay safe! Emily@GEA
A:AnswerHi Kathy! Thanks for your questions. This unit does have a melt feature. Depending on which variation of the model that you get, the turntable may have slightly different dimensions. The approximate dimensions of the turntable will be 1/4" H x 14 1/4" W x 14 1/4" D. We hope this helps! Emily@GEA

A:AnswerThe microwave oven I purchased was a replacement made to fit a 30 inch opening and it came with templates and brackets for mounting. If you look on the GE web site they have filler kits to complete the install for a 30 inch microwave. I hope this will help.
A:AnswerHello pwili - Thank you for the interest in this reliable microwave. Model JVM7195SKSS does have a cooktop surface light that uses halogen bulbs. Please let us know if you have any more questions. - John@GEA
A:AnswerHello Toto - We are sorry to hear your microwave is in need of replacement but will be happy to point you in the right direction.
All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model such as yours. So when looking for a microwave, you can concentrate more on the features you would like, rather than the size. Thanks! - John@GEA
A:AnswerI’m not sure what microwave that it is you are replacing. We just stepped up to a nicer GE than our first one. The vent matched up but the support holes had to be re-drilled on the top. We really like this microwave so far. Sorry I’m not more help. Good luck.

A:AnswerHello and thank you for the excellent question. We are always happy to help.
The recommended measurements for installation can be seen on page 7 of the installation instructions here: https://files.bbystatic.com/D8505xASz7TWU7wUCScjfA%3D%3D/873749db-f7cc-47f6-a6e6-85f440aa17e5.pdf
The bottom of the cabinet that the microwave will be attached to show be 66" above the floor and 30" above the cooktop. These measurements are minimums. This is no maximum measurement, although keep in mind that the further away from the cooking surface, the less effective the vent fan will be. Keep in touch! - JB

A:AnswerHello - We appreciate your interest in replacing your microwave and we are happy to help! Mounting plates are model specific, and cannot be reused from model to model. You would need to use the mounting plate that comes with a new model. While the space needed for the new microwave is the same, we do recommend using the new mounting bracket and hardware that is packaged with the new microwave. Consequently, it is possible new holes would have to be created to accommodate the new bracket. We hope this information is helpful. Thanks for checking! We appreciate your loyalty! Olga
A:AnswerHello Steve85,
Thanks so much for reaching out. Good question. We'd recommend following the ducting instructions provided throughout the installation instructions. Specific instructions can be found starting on page 12 for outside top exhaust. The instructions provides a chart where you can keep track of your materials and see your total duct length. https://files.bbystatic.com/D8505xASz7TWU7wUCScjfA%3D%3D/0a7b21f9-9d0c-4603-92ac-485d94d13f8d.pdf As long as the length does not exceed 140 feet, you should be fine. We hope this helps. Best wishes. Mike@GEA
A:AnswerToday most new over the range microwaves are convertible to recirculating or the standard external venting. When setup for external venting the internal vent system discharges against a duct extending from the microwave top or rear to the outside air either through the roof, or to an eave vent. When set up for recirculating the air recirculates through a charcoal filter and comes out the bottom of the microwave back into the room. The conversion from exterior venting to recirculating is a very easy process and the procedure is described in the installation manual.
A:AnswerHello Mills,
Thank you so much for reaching out. Excellent question. CFM (cubic feet per minute) is a unit of measurement of the exchange of air from one area to another. The higher the CFM, the more air can be moved from one area to another. If you vent internally, then there is no need to use CFM since air is being recirculated. This model has a top CFM of 400 and has four different speeds. We hope this was helpful. Best wishes. Mike@GEA
A:AnswerProbably the microwave is not brushed nickel but is stainless steel. The stainless is a thin sheet of metal capping a plastic panel beneath. The stainless steel is not shiny therefore appears like brushed nickel.I hope the issue you described has been fixed. I previously had the same model number that was about 5 years old and had the same issue with the microwave not shutting off. The problem is not he door switch as told to me by a professional repair facility and that if used the microwave may catch fire.
I have replaced the microwave with a new one of the same model. Hope this issue does not happen again . YTo me 5 years is a short life for a microwave.
