• A:Answer This lovely microwave measures 16 5/16 H x 29 7/8 W x 15 9/16 D and is designed to fit in a 30" wide opening. The cabinet above the microwave should be no more than 13" deep. If the upper cabinet is deeper than 13" a bump out kit (JX15BUMPBB) will be needed. We recommend using the mounting hardware and bracket that will be packaged with the new model.

• A:Answer Put a glass dish or a measuring cup full of water in the microwave for about six or eight minutes till it boils. That will give you a steamed atmosphere inside the microwave.

Q: QuestionDoes this JVM7195SKSS microwave vent fan run every time the microwave is used in a normal cooking cycle? Some other GE microwaves run the vent fan every time the microwave is turned on and you can't turn it off.

• A:Answer This model would make a great addition to your home. All 30" Over-the-Range Microwaves are approximately the same width and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our current 30" Over-the-Range microwave models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" Over-the-Range microwave model. When replacing an Over-the-Range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts and exhaust adapter should also be used.

Q: QuestionI replaced a GE Spacemaker (PVM2070SM-4SS with this model. Like the Spacemaker, it vents from the top, to the outside. When the wind blows, there is a rattling sound, and also outside air comes into the house from the top grill of the unit. How to fix?

• A:Answer The good news is all of our over-the-range microwaves will fit in a 30" wide opening. We offer several different models with varying features to suit your needs. The JVM7195SKSS is a fine model offering wonderful cooking features. The new model can be vented to the outside or can be converted to vent internally (recirculating) using the charcoal filter we include with the unit. We do recommend you use the new mounting bracket and hardware that will be packaged with the new microwave.

• A:Answer No, our over-the-range microwaves can't be built-in or enclosed. Doing so would eliminate the surface light and venting system. Attempting to install this style microwave in this manner would void your warranty and could cause irreparable damage to the microwave.

Q: QuestionWhy in the JVM3106RF3SS microwave oven is the reheat button not programmed to give the item rather than 1h, 2h,3, etc.? This is a terrible change or you might label it an improvement. Now one needs to refer to the manual to reheat something. I am 83 yrs.

• A:Answer The oven measures 29 7/8W x 15 3/4H x 15 5/8D. Sizes of over the over the range units are fairly standard. Keep in mind the inside of this microwave is black and both the oven bulb and surface light bulb are fairly dim. Otherwise I've been very satisfied with this unit.
