A:AnswerHello, thank you for reaching out about this microwave. We appreciate your comments about the design of the microwave. Changing the interior bulb would be considered modification and we do not recommend changes or redesign to our appliances by the consumer on a new product. Each brand of our products is designed, tested and manufactured to specific specifications. Additionally, the interior bulb is not consumer replaceable. -Chris
A:AnswerHi Yotel - The microwave oven is designed for adaptation for the following three types of ventilation: 1. Outside Exhaust (Vertical – Delivered from factory in vertical position). 2. Outside Exhaust (Horizontal). 3. Recirculating (Non-vented ductless). If the model is converted to recirculating and not vented to the outside, the air will be recirculated through a disposable charcoal filter (included) that helps remove smoke and odors. You will feel airflow from vents located on top just above the door. If your cabinets are deeper than 13", you may not be able to see the vents. We suggest to view the illustration on pages 11 of the Installation Instructions at the following link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-40765.pdf - Also, we are sorry to hear of the service delay. This is frustrating we know. So that we can review this with you, please reach out to us at GEAppliances.com (Contact Us page). We look forward to hearing from you soon! Sue
A:AnswerSounds like you have an installation issue. My understanding is that service is handled by the Geek Squad. Sorry I cannot be of further assistance.
A:AnswerHi Matt- Thanks for choosing GE! It is normal to have some air blowing out of the top grill. A fan where the internal components are located will run while the microwave is in operation to constantly circulate the air to cool the working parts. Thanks for reaching out to us. Enjoy! SUEatGEA
A:AnswerHi Shannon - Thanks for viewing GE Model JVM7195SKSS. The cooktop lighting is halogen. We can only recommend replacing the bulbs with the type, voltage and wattage included with the microwave since it has been designed for this type. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue
A:AnswerHi Castle- Thanks for choosing GE! All over-the-range microwaves are equipped with an exhaust system. It can be installed under a cabinet, even if there is not a cooking surface underneath; however, the height clearances must still be met. Over-the- range models must be installed 66" from the floor to the bottom of the cabinet that the microwave attaches to. Check out the Installation Instructions online (page 7): http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-40765.pdf- Enjoy! SUEatGEA
A:AnswerHi Anna62- Use the Settings option to change sound level. Press Settings, press Express Cook pad 3, Select sound level: 0- Mute, 1- Low, 2- Normal; 3- loud. See page 20 of the Owner's Manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-40766-2.pdf - Keep in touch! Sue
A:AnswerHi snowman- We certainly appreciate your loyalty! When you are replacing a 36" over-the-range microwave, many current 30" over-the-range microwaves offer an optional 36" filler kit (sold separately) to allow it to be installed in a 36" cut-out opening. GE® 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM7195SK is a nice choice and compatible with Optional 36" Side Filler Panel Kit JX36DSS (sold separately). Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
A:AnswerDouble check the size of the microwave oven from the spec versus the dimension from the old oven. IF the old oven is 30" wide, the existing space should fit. I use the old frame from the retired frigidaire oven to hang the new GE Oven without drilling any new holes to the wall. However, I have to make a minor adjustment on the top supporting screws.
Depend upon what kind of vent you have. The new GE has the fan to vent the air either inside (recirculating) of outside the house. The fan can be adjusted either blow vertical (if the vent pipe is on the top), or horizontal (if the vent pipe is behind the oven thru the wall).
Hope this help.
