Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Curious7 - Thanks for viewing GE! The freezer is equipped with (4) Slide-Out Bulk Storage Baskets (2 Upper, 2 Lower). Second level rail allows convenient access to sliding baskets at different heights in freezer. Also, the lock with key allows you to protect your valuable food items from unintentional entry. In most climates, defrosting will be necessary only about twice a year. Place a tray (not included) in front of the freezer, beneath the exterior drain plug to collect the water. We suggest to view page 7 of the Owner's Manual for complete details: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60760-4.PDF - Keep in touch! Sue
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.4 baskets are included, 2 on lower rails and 2 on upper rails, allowing good access to your frozen food. This was the major reason why we bought this model. Concerning draining - We have only had this GE 14.5 cubic foot freezer for 2 and a half months, so have not needed to defrost and drain. According to the defrosting instructions you pull out the drain plug and twist to drain. This plug is conveniently located on the front of the freezer. You will need to put a pan under the drain. That is not included, but it should not be difficult to find a suitable pan to catch the drain water.
