A:AnswerThank you for asking this great question! We do not currently have a microwave that uses inverter technology for cooking; however, this technology is used with Defrost Mode. We hope this helps and if you have any additional questions please reach out to us. All the best – Matthew@GEA
A:AnswerHello. When a microwave needs a repair involving the magnetron tube, a service technician must bring this part with them and handle the repair. We do not sell magnetron tubes and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Service can be scheduled via our website or by calling GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. ET or Saturday – Sunday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET. -Gina@GEA
A:AnswerHi,
Thanks for asking! We appreciate your consideration of these models and we'd be glad to help you. We found that there is not much of a difference between the two models . The "4" in JES2051SN4SS means that it has a different feature pack than JES2051SNSS. This means that both have the same features but JES2051SN4SS has additional ones. The measurements and capacity of both models are the same. We hope this information helps! If you have any further questions let us know. Have a good day!

A:AnswerI think there might have been a trim kit for our microwave, but we chose not to buy one. I just painted the inside of the cabinet black, which gives the same basic effect. The oven is black and is underneath the microwave. The microwave is black and silver and now has black "trim" around it instead of a maple wood color. But, the trim kit was about as much as a microwave (approx. $130, if I remember correctly). We're retired and aren't as concerned with how something looks as much as how well it functions for us.

A:AnswerYes... regardless of what GE says it this unit CAN be built in (as well as other countertop microwaves). The confusion over GE trim kits is because of GE's standard "No it can't" response but only because GE doesn't not offer a trim kit for this specific model (or their other "countertop" models. FACT: Our 10 year old GE microwave finally died. It was a countertop model installed above our Dacor wall oven and finished off with a beautiful trim kit from Microtrim.com . When the old microwave died we panicked thinking we would need to buy another trim kit. Luckily we discovered this model was the same exact size and a perfect replacement. We took out the old oven, slid in this one in and simply reinstalled our existing trim kit. NET: GE only says it not designed to be built-in because "they" don't make a trim kit for it. Just make sure whatever trim kit you buy there is adequate ventilation space inside the cabinet. The kits from microtrim have fresh air louvers as part of their design.

A:AnswerHi Jsd - Thanks for considering GE Model JES2051SNSS! We are happy to address your concern. We comply with federal and state chemical labeling laws. One such law is California Proposition 65, enacted by California in 1986 (Prop 65). This state law requires companies to provide a warning for thousands of consumer products, foods, prescription drugs, alcoholic beverages, enclosed parking facilities, amusement parks, furniture, and other everyday items. For more than a decade, we have complied with the Prop 65 requirements by providing a warning in the owner's manual. California recently updated its Prop 65 regulations to require, for products produced on or after August 30, 2018, new on-product warning labels (instead of owner's manual warnings). GE Appliances and other appliance manufacturers will use on-product warning labels to comply with this state law.
Starting in early August 2018, we began adding new labels to our products to comply with the new Prop 65 requirements. The presence of a Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean the product is unsafe or poses a health risk. Over 800 chemicals are on this list, including wood dust, nickel (found in stainless steel), nicotine, and alcohol. Additionally, even inaccessible parts can cause the warning.
