Q: Can this microwave be mounted under a cabinet not over a stove?
A: Yes. I am a contractor and I have installed these in cabinetry with a trim kit many times. I am not aware if anyone makes an under cabinet mounting kit. Probably would require a shelf system to bear the weight.
A: Thanks for checking with us. This particular model (GCST20S1WSS) is a countertop only model and can't be built-in with a trim kit. We recommend model PCWK22U1WDD and one of the following trim kits that are approved. X7227SLSS (Stainless steel); JX7230SLSS (Stainless steel). We don't have a current microwave that will allow you to use your trim kit. It is important to only use the trim kit designed for the specific microwave model so that the trim kit fits the microwave and provides the proper air flow that it needs. Thank you! Q: Does this unit fit the LG MK2030 Trim Kit?
A: This is a counter top microwave and is not designed to be built-in. To ensure proper operation, we recommend you have a minimum of 3" of air clearance on each side and at the top as well as 1" clearance in the rear. -Vikki@GEAppliances
A: This microwave is intended for countertop use only. It is not approved for a built-in installation with a trim kit. You also cannot reuse a trim kit for another microwave unit as each microwave is going to have a custom one made for that specific unit. Dianna@GE Appliances

A: No, this model is not approved for built-in installation. The comparable replacement model that can be built-in is the PCWK22U1WDD. You will also need the compatible built-kit. -Vikki@GEAppliances
A: This is a countertop microwave only. It is not approved to be built in. We have model PCWK15C1WSS that is closest in size to your current unit. Your space will need to be slightly modified for this model. Q: What is the color of the interior? And does the interior light stay on when the door is open?
A: We can confirm that the interior of this model is a white painted epoxy finish. The interior light will come on when the door is opened and while cooking.
