A:AnswerThe pedestals absolutely should have leveling feet on them (which are included with the pedestal. I don't see how the drawer would operate without it. See photo of feet on mine.

A:AnswerThanks for that reply. Someone else said the internal parts can be damaged if it gets laid down after water's been in it (ever) - aside from those shipping bolts. In other words it can never be used till the pedestal arrives. Which is ridiculous. Also if water can fall into the wrong places and damage the internal parts (electronics) how could anyone ever sell a used one?
A:AnswerPersonal opinion, stick with same brand. The mounting on the bottom of the machines may be different. My former machines I just replaced were Maytag w/Maytag pedestals….they are very different than the new GE machines and pedestal

I do apologize and will be happy to provide more clarifying details. The interior dimensions are approximately 21.7"W x 22.2"D.
The side walls of the drawer are not perfectly vertical – the drawer is slightly narrower at the bottom than at the top, like a cup or other large plastic storage bins. The measurements above are at the deepest (narrowest) point, just before the round at the very bottom. The drawer sidewall is 7.48" deep but the cavity for the drawer can have taller items, up to 11.69", placed into the drawer and it will still close. The internal height is 13", but you will need to tilt the object to get it under the c-channel.
The new pedestal is 16-inches (13-inches for old) and can accommodate large Tide bottle upright.
