Hi Okok- Yes, you can store ice cream. This model has a separate true-freezer compartment to store frozen foods. Also, these models are described as Manual Defrost or Partial Automatic Defrost. We use the defrost description Partial Automatic Defrost on compact models with a separate fresh food and freezer section (freezer is not inside the main compartment) to indicate the fresh food section is frost free and the freezer is manual defrost.
